Silform liquid enzymes are supplied in 30ml dropper bottles. Enzymes are normally added to substrates in very small ratios (characteristically, less than 1-2%). Dropper bottles permit accurate dispensing for these small quantities. All Silform enzymes will display satisfactory activity levels for at least two years after despatch. This time can be extended significantly if the enzymes are kept refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE.
Usage parameters can vary between different applications. Very general advice regarding these parameters appropriate for each product is included on the label. (i.e. activity temperature ranges, pH requirements etc.)
a-Amylase (bacteriological) A saccharifying glucoamylase (or amylglucosidase) enzyme derived fro Aspergillus niger. It is supplied in liquid form and is typically used in the conversion of starchy substrates to sugars.
Invertase. Supplied in liquid form, is used to catalyze the hydrolysis of sucrose (di-saccharides) into its components, fructose and glucose (mono-saccharides).
Protease (fungal protease 6000) For protein hydrolysis (peptide, peptidhydrolase enzymes). derived from aspergillus oryzae var. suitable for demonstrating exo-peptidase and endo peptiase activity on protein molecules. Protease activity is characterised by a low level of a-Amylase activity.
